(OP)
I want to learn more about FEA work and how to employ the different correct elements in the simulations, good sources for information.. yes I have tried using the web but I though someone may have come across somewhere more benifical than the sites I have looked at!! Also is there anywhere on structual design for ballistics? with regards ship building for warshios specifically. Its not my field but I am intrigued.

RE: Sources of Online tutorials or books on FEA

There is a link about half way down in the attached thread regarding Nathan Okun... within that link, you will find a treasure trove of info about warships and ballistics.

thread404-218312: Book recommendation (Structures under impact)

Regarding the web sources for FEA, I don't specifically know of any.  Did you try Google Books?

RE: Sources of Online tutorials or books on FEA

This thread from the FEA forum may be of interest: thread727-259749: Learning The FE Method - Any Advice?. If you perform a search in that forum I'm sure you will find more results, also in the FAQ section (FEA forum) there are a few recommended links.
