zinc plating for c36000?

(OP)
yet another one, is there a specification for zinc plating for c36000? thank you

RE: zinc plating for c36000?

Why would you want to?

RE: zinc plating for c36000?

No, there is no consensus standard (ASTM, ISO, etc.) for applying zinc coatings on copper-based metals.  ASTM B 281 describes the standard practice for preparing Cu-based metals for electroplating, so that is certainly a valuable reference, but it will not detail anything about the actual deposited coating such as thickness, corrosion resistance, adhesion, etc.  I agree with btrueblood in wondering why one would want to apply a zinc coating to a 360 brass.
