FILE -> NEW DIALOGUE

In NX5 we have set a custom environment variable UGII_TEMPLATE_DIR= (directory) to point to modeling start parts.  I would like to add a tab to point to manufacturing start parts and drafting start parts that will utilize the master modeling approach.  Does anyone know how to go about starting this and what environment variable I need to set?

I have created the start parts, but I am just lost when it comes to adding the tabs.  I understand this is vague, so if clarification is needed I will try to provide it.

Thanks

Edit...
the directory we point to has a file in called templates.pax that lists the template files in it.  I assume I need to put another file in the directory, but I'm not sure what to name it.

RE: FILE -> NEW DIALOGUE

I don't have a direct answer, but if you go into the "search" (above here, and directly under the title of this forum) and enter "pax" there should be some things that may help you.

RE: FILE -> NEW DIALOGUE

Attached is a .pax file I created which ADDS an additional tab to the File New dialog which shows my customized Drawing templates.  Just add this file, along with the templates and any other needed files, such as the image files for the preview panel, to a folder named 'startup' placed in a folder pointed to by the environment variable...
