NX6 threaded hole edit

NX6 threaded hole edit

NX6 threaded hole edit

(OP)
When I remove a surface that a threaded hole command has been added to I get an error that says.
"Unable to reference parent objects that are either suppressed or modeled away"
I have reattached the sketch and changed to along a vector instead of normal to face.
What is the best way to edit this command after the referenced surface is removed?
Thank you
Mike Aylward

Did your edit workflow work?  Did you get the desired result?

Not sure what you mean by edit workflow? I may know it as another name or process.

Do you mean the workflow in the dialog box? I tried that but I can't select a new surface using normal to face and have to use vector. Right now I just added a threaded hole but want to change it to another surface but I can't pick the new surface.

RE: NX6 threaded hole edit

If the face was replaced by the addition of a new modling feature, the problem may be that the hole was created BEFORE the new feature and therefor when you try to edit and reference the new face, as far as the hole feature is concerned, that 'face' does NOT yet exist.  Try reordering the features.
