Open NX6 simulation in NX5?

Open NX6 simulation in NX5?

Open NX6 simulation in NX5?

(OP)
I have one simulation done with NX6 and I'm now running NX5.
Is there any way I can open this in NX5?
I do not have access to NX6 for saving in older versions.

Sorry, but like regular part files, there is no such thing as downward compatibility of simulation files.

And even if you did have NX6 you would not be able to save it in NX5 format (except for exporting out a parasolid that is compatible with NX5).

I hope you don't mind my quoting you John... this type of question has been asked so often that I went ahead and created an FAQ for it.

RE: Open NX6 simulation in NX5?

I probably should do more of that myself, however I generally don't think much about but rather just jump in and answer the questions as they are asked.

RE: Open NX6 simulation in NX5?

Apparently most of us do that... there weren't any FAQs before this one.

I tried to do one on converting part units a while back, but there was no way to embed/attach pictures which I was hoping to use.

Thank you very much for the answers!
I'll just start to model in NX5 again then.
