thread507-79917: How Do I figure the angle of a ridge cap along a hip ridge
Dear Kapitan,
reference the old thread to find the angle of the hip ridge cap......would the valley be the same?

RE: hip roof cap revisited
If A and B are the normal vectors of the two planes, then A.B = |A||B|cosθ or cosθ = A.B/|A||B| where θ is the angle between the two planes.
It doesn't matter whether the two planes meet on a hip line or a valley line, the angle is the same.
