Trial Batches

(OP)
I was wondering if you are doing a trial batch should you run it at max wcr. or should you compensate for the water reducer you use in the mix. How then should it be reported on the mix design. I have been told to do it both ways by diff eng. BTW I am not an eng. but just took over a position as QC Manager for a producer.

RE: Trial Batches

Run at max w/c ratio.  The water reducer effects should be negated (should not be significant anyway).
