Can you advise if Pressure test requirments of tie in welds which shall be subject to UT & MPI. the manifold has been pre fabricatied and all welds have been x-rayed and pressure tested to 1.5 desgin pressure.

Question: is system subject to pressure test 1.5x desgin pressure or 1.1 ?

RE: Pressure Testing

depends on which code your building to

RE: Pressure Testing

Eck75,

Pneumatic pressure test???
For pneumatic test you may consider 1.1 x design pressure...

RE: Pressure Testing

No, not for tie in welds. As long as a volumetric examination of the tie in welds is completed, there should be no need for a pressure test.

RE: Pressure Testing

Still Depends on Design Code
