PLC/HMI Communication issue

PLC/HMI Communication issue

PLC/HMI Communication issue

(OP)
Hello,

I need help configuring communication parameters for my first PLC/HMI system being developed for a small alarm system project.

I have a Mitsubishi Fx1n 24MR PLC, programmed using GX developer Version 8.0F. No communication parameters have been modified in this application.

The HMI panel is a Biejer E100, programmed using E-Designer 6.13.

The E100 panel connects to the PLC via a CAB19/3M cable. The E100 gets its power through this cable from the PLC.

Both PLC and HMI programs have been loaded successfully to their respective devices.

Problem: When the HMI panel is connected to the PLC and the system powered up, the HMI panel displays '1:Comm Err'.

Any guidance would be greatly appreciated.

Many thanks - Nick
