Display performance - arcs displaying as several lines
Display performance - arcs displaying as several lines
(OP)
I have a problem with the vis. performance in NX5. I cannot get the display to generate a smooth arc in wireframe or shaded views.
I cannot "update view" or "regenerate work view" to create a continuous arc either. There are several lines connected in place of the arc.
I am currently working on a small part with no background data.
Look at the pic provided and you will see my problem. (not sure if this will work with "bmp" files)
Please help, I am sure the fix is easy.

Thanks for the quick response.

Did you regen after changing the setting? If so, I'm at a loss. Hopefully, John or hudson will chime in with the solution before long.

1. Zoom in to the area you showed in your bitmap.
2. Go to Preferences > Visualization > Faceting
3. Try adjusting the Tolerance from its default (Standard) to Fine or Ultrafine

Yeah I tried regen and update display. No restart.
Potrero,
That did not work either. No restart either.

I also tried comparing a coworkers setting to mine and there is no change in my "arcs". Could this be a hardware issue? I would not think that.

If it's in an Assembly, make sure that you have not used a 'Lightweight' or faceted Reference Set.

We don't normally use that reference set but occasionally we find it.
Thanks to everybody for your input. It makes modeling life so much easier now.
