Hi guys, Is there any particular items to be inspected for the ship's installation cables, i.e. solas rules or any other class rules. thanks in advance.

RE: marine cable inspection

Look at ABS SVR 4/8/4 21. available at Eagle.org. Also IEEE Std 45 (Recommended Practice for Electrical Installations Shipboard) has quite a bit.

Hi guys, i need some technical advise about the refrigeration system. Is it possible to convert the cold storage from positive temp application say 5 - 10 deg C ( usually for vegetables & dairy products)to minus temp application , say -12 to -18 deg c. without chinaging the size of the compressor, evaporator etc. only change the expansion valve setting? this is only for food storage on board the vessel and not a cargo reeefer.
please to hear for any advice.thanks a lot.
