Needing to replace plane-jane 10ton packaged unit immediately. There are more of these that will soon follow. They all are Carrier 48TJE 10seer, dual compressor units with low ambiant pressure switches for condenser fans. Located in the Kansas City area. Cooling capacity is year round. Full load from May-Sep. Partial load rest of year. Humidity is only concern during peak summer conditions. Occupancy is 1000. Room is 125'x 100'x 22'(14'sidewalls and 38'peak). Steel frame building with R-19 insulation. Lots of lighting for tv. Been researching Aaon equipment. Like what I see so far with: digital scroll compressors, var spd condenser fans w/vfd, dual enthalpy economizers w/ ex fan, energy recovery wheel. Not thinking hot gas reheat coil or var spd blower motor with vfd is of much benefit for my needs. Does anyone have any suggestions or tips that would direct me in a more energy efficient direction without jeapordizing comfort too much or outrageous replacement cost?
