Client HMI choice, Touch Ind. PC or traditional HMI

(OP)
I'm designing a SCADA system that will have only two terminals, a PC in an office, and another "screen" on the floor, both talking to a ControlLogix PLC. I'll be using A-B Factory Talk SE, with a Station edition running on the office computer. I have two options for the floor "screen"; a traditional PanelView+ HMI running Factory Talk ME, or an industrial touch screen P.C. running another Factory Talk SE Station package. The P.C. is cheaper until you add the SE software that is included with the PV+ HMI. So, not considering cost, which option will be 1) simple and 2) most reliable? Any thoughts?

RE: Client HMI choice, Touch Ind. PC or traditional HMI

I have used the several of the VersaView CE terminals with fairly good success. Once up and running they are very reliable with nice trending etc.
They seem to have a few QA issues but AB sort that out quite quickly.
I always use ethernet for the communications.
I'm not sure I answered your question but it may offer another solution.

Interestingly enough if you develop your project in ME, you can port it to SE with out much work. This means that both units will look and function the same. With half the work.
