Time + temp for aluminum 6082 in T0 state

(OP)
Dear colleagues,

How should I anneal aluminum alloy 6082 to T0 state?

I have T6 a 6082 plate (200 mm thick) and I am used to do T4 + straigthening + T6 but need T0 for forging.

540ºC + 6 hours + cooling in air would be enough?

Thanks!

RE: Time + temp for aluminum 6082 in T0 state

Full annealing of 6xxx and 7xxx series alloys to the -O temper is typically done by heating to 415 C, holding for 2-3 hours, followed by slow cooling (30 C/hour) to a temperature of 260 C, then air cooling.  Refer to ASM HANDBOOK Volume 4, ASTM B 918, or similar documents for more information.
