vsd process control

vsd process control

(OP)
Hi guys,
I think my question couldnt be understood properly,
I have a vsd for a reflux pump, pumping both to column,
and tank. How one can control speed of pump, is it possible
control it properly ..say top of column min 11 bar and lpg tank 7 bar. Before vsd pump was producing 16 bar. What is the
best applications of vsd ; only one line a control valve on it, or is it possible brances operation..

Regards

RE: vsd process control

Without getting into a debate on the pros and cons of using VSD over other forms of process control, logically you should be able to control the column flow with the VSD, with a control valve in the line to the LPG tank with its lower pressure. But it depends on what you really need to control.

Cheers,
John
