SolidWorks Electrical Routing Through Solid Bodies

SolidWorks Electrical Routing Through Solid Bodies

SolidWorks Electrical Routing Through Solid Bodies

(OP)
I am using electrical routing in SolidWorks 2010, and do not know how to get the routing program to recognize it needs to route around, and not through, solid bodies.

The body I am trying to route around was translated from a .CATpart to .step file and then imported (not sure if this is the problem).

Any tips would be greatly appreciated.

Nicole

RE: SolidWorks Electrical Routing Through Solid Bodies

You just have to play with your 3D sketches to get the route right.  There is no way (as far as I know) to tell SW to avoid contact with solids bodies.
