VALVES PUP PIECE WALL THICKNESS

VALVES PUP PIECE WALL THICKNESS

VALVES PUP PIECE WALL THICKNESS

(OP)
Dear All;
I just ask if the valves pup pieces are considered as a part of valves and then their wall thickness will be calculated considering valve design pressure. Or pup piece are considered as a part of pipe and their wall thickness will be calculated considering piping / pipeline design pressure.
Thanks.

RE: VALVES PUP PIECE WALL THICKNESS

Welding of bends and pup pieces was discussed in thread:http://www.eng-tips.com/viewthread.cfm?qid=166436&page=1

 In my opinion a pup piece is a part of the pipeline, as it for instance as a spool-piece may replace permanantly or for a shorter timespan a valve taken out of the pipeline.
