SS 316 Sprial Wound Gasket

(OP)
Dear All,

Can a SS 316 Spiral wound gasket be used in Inconel 625 Flange? Will there be any galvenic action. The application is on a condensate low pressure drain. If it can be used, is there a way for justification.

Thank you

RE: SS 316 Sprial Wound Gasket

There should be no problem, but we will ask the following just in case.

What is the filler use in the gasket?

What are the physical parameters like temp and pressure?

What Class flanges?

You have some expensive condensate line if the condensate is water.
