Large section of reinforcement with eurocode2

Large section of reinforcement with eurocode2

(OP)
hello
i had designed a seven stories concrete with shear walls
then when a had designed the colums with eurocode2 i had a very large section of reinforcement ( 57,273 cm2)
i think that is a very large value , i don't knew why sap had given me theses large value , and it is not the first ofen that i had a vey large value with eurocode 2.
is there any some one who can help and sheck my model?
PS: I HAD used the SAP2000 v 14.0.0 , and i had used these
combinations 0.8DEAD-QX-QY and 1.35 DEAD +1.5 LIVE .

RE: Large section of reinforcement with eurocode2

Your model visually looks good,
In details,
why you do not mesh manually the walls and whole the model and jou can add the suports at bottom of the wall.
The large value of reinforcements i have seen only in one column modeled in boundary of the wall.
I im courious to know why you have made the combination 0.8DEAD-QX-QY, especially (-QX-QY). This will produce larger moments, differ from reality.
Also you have some overstressed columns,
Remuve the combination 0.8DEAD-QX-QY from design combo and you will have normal reinforcement values in columns and no overstressed colunms.
