making perpendicular planes

(OP)
I am still working on that spring.  i need to make a new plane perpendicular to the plane that is on the end of the spring.  I don't have any flat edges.  Can I do it?

RE: making perpendicular planes

I am looking at the end of a coil of wire.  What do I pick for an endpoint?

RE: making perpendicular planes

If the curve you are using is a spline you can select the end nearest the location you want for the profile sketch and hit Insert Sketch. SolidWorks creates a sketch datum and starts a new sketch on the plane.

RE: making perpendicular planes

same topic different question. can you select that curve/spline and bisect it with a giving about of planes? say...i want 5 planes along the spline that are normal to that spline?

RE: making perpendicular planes

Place Reference Points along the spline first, and then place a Reference Plane at each point
