Hi,
I'm wondering roughly in what pressure/temperature ranges it is reasonable to use the following materials for piping in boiler plants.
P235GH
P265GH
16Mo3
13CrMo4-5
10CrMo9-10
Reasonable involves availability in europe, price and of course material properties.

The simple answer is review a boiler code of construction. Most boiler construction codes have design by rule or design by analysis methods where approved materials are listed based on maximum service temperature. There are no nicely tabulated pressure/temperature ratings for boiler pressure parts, other than pipe fittings.

I have EN 12953 and EN 13480 available, with accepted materials listed, for example those above. Also calculation of pressure parts is not the issue.
I can do all piping in 10CrMo9-10 if i want, it will be ok with the standard, but cost a fortune.
I can also gather price information on pipes and fittings in the above materials, make calculations to see what material thickness are required and compile some cost curves. Based on that i could calculate break even points between different materials. This however is very time consuming, so i wonder if someone with experience of material selection could hint me in the right direction.

Time consuming???? This is part of the job and to verifiy design rules and not use shortcuts.

The detailed calculation of all piping components will be done in time, at a much later stage. This is not the question at the moment, i'm not dimensioning piping components.
What i'm trying to do now is for conceptual design for a wide range of plants.
What I'm looking for is something like:
Thumb rule, Steam pipes
-First choise: P235GH (cheapest, best availability)
-For pressures over 80 bar, concider P265GH
-For temperatures > 400C switch to 16Mo3
-For temperatures > 490C switch to 13CrMo4-5
-For temperatures > 510C switch to 10CrMo9-10
