Section View Standard
Section View Standard
(OP)
I think this is really not an issue but a small dispute between some co-workers.
First off, when you have only one section view on a drawing with a section line displayed in the main view, must a section view label (i.e. SECTION A-A) be applied or is it okay to omit the label because of only one section view?
Secondly, If you have a section view on a drawing, is it always required to have a section line in the main view or is it in any situation, assumed and okay to leave off? Any proof of support would be greatly appreciated.

In practice my understanding of the standard is the same as ewh states.
