circuit setup for senor to relay co2

(OP)
Hi everyone this is my first post.

Im more a mechanical guy so be kind :)

I would like to see if someone could tell what I need to setup a circuit from a CO2 sensor RS5600 https://secure.vividcluster.crox.net.au/jaycar2005/products_uploaded/RS5600.pdf to operate a 24v fan relay.

I would like to be able to adjust the ppm activation point. So I not sure if this is controlled by voltage??? :/

any help on wiring and components would be great.

thanks
benj

RE: circuit setup for senor to relay co2

Hi BenjiAU,

You have a long, long way to go...  This is just a raw sensor, perhaps you should be looking at completed products.  There is a lot of signal conditioning and biasing that needs to be done, and these sensors typically need a microprocessor to read the small-signal output and linearize it (to say nothing of calibration).

Stick this in Google:  "Telaire CO2 sensor"  and "Yamatake CO2 sensor" You may be able to see what all will be involved.  If you're determined to build your own, and you don't have a lot of electronics background, you might want to start with requesting application help from the sensor manufacturer.

Or -- someone else on this forum might have more time to walk you through it.

In any event, let us know how it goes for you!!

Good on ya,

Goober Dave
