Detail View of Flat Pattern

Detail View of Flat Pattern

Detail View of Flat Pattern

(OP)
Hello Everyone

I am having trouble with detail view of a flat pattern which is rotated. I have this trouble in multiple drawings so it is not one off case.

When I draw a circle for detail view it does not show me anything then I have to move the circle onto empty area outside the flat pattern & I will see the actual flat pattern. Seems like it is still following the flat pattern in the before rotation stage( 0 degree rotation.)

I am using SolidWorks 2008 sp4.0 so not sure if it has been fixed in the later releases. Please let me know if it is still a problem in SWX 2010.

or if there is any fix/solution for it? Or if I am doing something wrong?

RE: Detail View of Flat Pattern

Make sure your Circle is related to the geometry in some way coincident point or dimensioned in Detail Sketch and see if you have the same problem.

RE: Detail View of Flat Pattern

Have you tried creating the detail view before rotating the flat pattern?

RE: Detail View of Flat Pattern

BTW, the Detail view works fine for me (with SW2010-SP2.0) whether before or after rotation.
