MERGING LEADER NOTES-HOW CAN i MAKE IT STOP?

MERGING LEADER NOTES-HOW CAN i MAKE IT STOP?

(OP)
In an assembly drawing I have leader notes attached to the parts with their names/qty's N matls.  When I click on one to modify the verbage, but inadvertantly drag it near another, the text from the first leader note is added to the leader note I dragged it to, and deletes the original leader note. It seems kind of wacky to me, can I make it stop?

RE: MERGING LEADER NOTES-HOW CAN i MAKE IT STOP?

I don't believe it can be disabled permanently, but holding down the Shift key when placing a note, disables that function temporarily.
