creating my own bitmap

creating my own bitmap

creating my own bitmap

(OP)
I've created my own bitmaps, in UG (NX6) and saved it as a bitmap, but when i use it as an icon on a custom button, the resolution is awful.
Is there another method for creating these or am i just doing something wrong?

RE: creating my own bitmap

I seem to recall that it has something to do with where you sore the images. I did exactly the same thing when creating a cutom tool bar for our users, and my button resolution was shockingly bad, however, I moved them to a different folder and they worked fine. Sorry I can't be any more specific, it was a long time ago, but it was the very same problem and I did fix it.

Best regards

RE: creating my own bitmap

Did you create the icon at the resolution that you intend to display? If not, the system might resize your icon, causing some issues.

I've only done a few icons, I found IcoFX (freeware icon editor) to be very useful http://download.cnet.com/IcoFX/3000-2195_4-10515364.html
