Reuse library part name and description

Reuse library part name and description

Reuse library part name and description

(OP)
Is it possible in the reuse library to have the part number (filename) under the thumbnails and a description of the part popup in the tooltip as you mouse over the thumbnail?

RE: Reuse library part name and description

The 'filename' would only be that of the master Template file since until you actually select a 'family member' there is no way of knowing what the actual part file name will be, which also holds true for the 'description'.  Again, until you select a family member, the description would be not much more than what you can already learn from the name of the template file.

Sorry I should have clarified.  Assuming that the parts we put in there are standard parts, not family member templates or knowledge enabled parts.

RE: Reuse library part name and description

Sorry, the system was set up to only display the part file name.  That being said, I can understand the value in doing this and so perhaps you should contact GTAC and have them open an ER to this effect.
