Is there a way to change the image for a broken link?  The image for a broken link in NX4 is much easier to see than the image in NX6 when scrolling through the part navigator.

RE: Broken link bitmap image

I think I understand what you're saying...

First, NO, there is no way to replace the Icon used in the Part Navigator to indicate that there is a 'broken link', however if you goal is to make it easier to find broken links, why not enable the 'Status' column as I've shown in the image below.

Also note that the reason why we changed the presentation of broken links in the Part Navigator for NX 6.0, replacing the feature icon with the broken link icon, was two fold.  First, it allowed the user to more easily control the Hide/Show status since we no longer replaced the Hide/Show 'toggle' with the broken link icon, something which made it more difficult to change the display status of a broken link body in NX 4.0.

And second, we felt that it made the broken links easier to find since its icon now replaced the feature icon making it more obvious that something had changed.

However, that being said there were still some complaints, not all that different than yours, suggesting that the broken link icon was not as easy to see and recognized as it could be so starting with NX 7.0, as can be seen in the image below, the broken link icon was redone making it more prominent and easier to recognize.

But in the end, if the real issue is making it easier to identify which links were broken or not, the best solution is, as I stated originally, to enable the 'Status' column in the Part Navigator.

Anyway, review the image below and note the items which I've commented about.

Thanks John, I didn't have my status column active.  This will make the broken links much easier to find.
