ARRAYED COMPONENTS IN ARRANGEMENT

ARRAYED COMPONENTS IN ARRANGEMENT

ARRAYED COMPONENTS IN ARRANGEMENT

(OP)
IM HAVING TROUBLE WITH ARRAYED COMPONENTS IN NX6 WHEN MAKING A NEW ARRANGEMENT-THE SINGLE COMPONENTS MOVED BUT NOT ALL THE ARRAYED COMPONENTS MOVE-SOME MOVE WITH THE ARRAY BUT SOME STAY OUT IN SPACE.....

RE: ARRAYED COMPONENTS IN ARRANGEMENT

Do they show up in your model tree correctly?

RE: ARRAYED COMPONENTS IN ARRANGEMENT

(OP)
YES-IT'S LIKE SOME RETAINED THEIR MATING CONDITIONS AND SOME LOST THEIR MATING CONDITIONS. I GET A ERROR MESSAGE WHICH STATES COMPONENTS ARE PART OF AN ARRAY AND MIGHT NOT REPOSITION CORRECTLY. ON ONE ARRAY THERE WERE ONLY THREE PARTS IN THE ARRAY AND I MATED THE ARRAY PARTS AND ALL IS WELL. THE OTHER PARTS ARE BALL BEARINGS IN A TRI RACE SWIVEL JOINT (105 PARTS) AND WOULD TAKE FOR EVER TO REMATE.

RE: ARRAYED COMPONENTS IN ARRANGEMENT

Are you still using Mating Conditions or have you upgraded to Assembly Constraints?

To an Engineer, the glass is twice as big as it needs to be.

RE: ARRAYED COMPONENTS IN ARRANGEMENT

I avoid using component arrays if it's only a handful of parts. Not worth the hassle a lot of the time.
