Rupture pin valve

Rupture pin valve

(OP)
I know that rupture pin valve can be used in place of rupture disk. But it requires an ASME certificate to use in my project(Client's requirement). Does anyone knows any vendor who can meet this requirement?

RE: Rupture pin valve

My local vendor says that Rupture Pin Technologies has ASME certification for their model C devices. But as of January this year, they are not listed in the National Board red book.

BS&B sells an ASME certified rupture pin device, but it is more complicated than others.

RE: Rupture pin valve

The problem is that only the 2"x2" Model C and the 1x1.5 Model C valves are certificed for vapor.  They don't seem to have type certifcation.  This has become a major issue for me.  I keep being told that they have the testing complete and that it is just a matter of time.  But it has been several years and I see no progress.
