Vibration Tachometer

Vibration Tachometer

Vibration Tachometer

(OP)

Dear all,

Currently trying to build a Virbration Tachometer to be used on a DC motor to measure RPMs of 2500 to 6000.

Does anyone know of any schematics/diagrams available?

In addition, if anyone know of how to calibrate the reeds to the tachometer, that will also be appreciated.

Thanks for your time,

-evi1kid

RE: Vibration Tachometer

doesn't sound like your company is making good utilization of its money if it's designing and building something that it doesn't even know how to verify its functionality.

RE: Vibration Tachometer

I did an Internet search on "tachometer circuit" and found a lot, like this link:
http://www.discovercircuits.com/T/tachometers.htm
Vibrating "reeds" are used in mechanical and not electrical tachometers. Either type tachometer can be purchased at low cost already made!
