Vibration Measurement

(OP)
I need to measure the vibrations of a centrifugal pump & its associated suction/discharge line.

Which instruments are available for it & at what cost

RE: Vibration Measurement

You can get support from the suppliers.  They will need to know the pump size, speed and type of bearings, etc.  Proximity sensors may be suitable for pumps with lubricated bearings.  Other likely products include velocity sensors, and mechanical switches.  Consider companies like Metrix Instrument Company, Bently-Nevada and Rockwell Entek IRD for vibration instrumentation.

RE: Vibration Measurement

You can even get the transmitters to be simple 4 to 20 mA to fit into your PLC/DCS
