Dong/Battelle hot spot metod

Dong/Battelle hot spot metod

(OP)
Hi, i'm dealing a fatigue analysis to a welded joint and i'm trying to implement the Dong/Battelle procedure to gain the hot spot stress.
The problem is that i can't obtain the right values (i'm comparing my procedure to other results present in literature).
someone has already faced the problem?
I think that is a problem of value averaging at the nodes (for nodal forces and moments), but I haven't still exceeded it.
do you have any good advices?

many thanks!

...other question, with Abaqus i can retrieve nodal forces using the NFORC command, but about the nodal moment? should i have to multiply the section moment (SM) for the distance between two nodes?

i'm working on a simple example of a plate lap fillet weld that join two plate, and the model is made by shell 4 nodes element.

any help will be very apreciate. thanks
