Hydrocad Error 700

Hydrocad Error 700

Hydrocad Error 700

(OP)
I have a model with a single pond fed by two paved areas.  The pond is prismatic with a bottom area of 6689 sf at an invert of -3.5 feet and a surface area of 8498 sf at an invert of -1.00 feet.  By my hand calcs this should be a volume of 18,983 cubic feet.  The runoff frm the two areas is 0.22 af and 0.205 af for a total of 18,513 cu ft.

When I try to see the hydrograph for the pond I get "Error 700 Unable to extend routing tables above -1.00 feet".  Looking at Help indicates that the pond is filling beyond the -1.00 level even though the pond volume is greater than the total runoff even if there were no exfiltration, which there is.

I get the same error message even when I make bottom the invert 4.00 feet and move the top one up to 0.00.

I figure I must be entering something into the wrong box.

Any ideas?

Thanks

RE: Hydrocad Error 700

Please have a close look at the pond summary report and make sure everything is as you intended.  To get the calculations to complete you can temporarily disconnect the inflow.  Compare this to the reported runoff volume.

If you still have questions please post the file or send it to HydroCAD support.

Hi Peter,

Thanks for the quick response.  I did that already but will try it again and take a closer look.
