which motor has high power/weight ratio?

which motor has high power/weight ratio?

(OP)
I would like to know which of the following motors (brush permanent magnet DC motor, brushless DC motor and linear motor) have less size and weight at the same power (high power/weight)?

RE: which motor has high power/weight ratio?

When I want to know something like that I hit the catalogs. I would be looking for a motor of each type that would satisfy my application and compare specs.
For instance I have worked on linear motors that were about twenty miles long. They have since been extended several times. Over twenty miles of LIM rail weighs a lot! Divide by the number of propulsion coils in use and it still weighs a lot.
