superelevation: how much is too much?

superelevation: how much is too much?

(OP)
It would be extremely helpful if someone would like to share their opinions on superelevation.  This is a great forum.

Assuming:
1)  Ice is not an issue.
2)  Pedestrian facilities are not an issue.
3)  The curve is isolated (there are not curves in the vicinity that the curve should be "matched" to).
4)  A sharp curve is desirable to miss utilities.

So how much super is too much?  What are the primary concerns with too much super?  Where is the addressed in the literature/code, what are you using state/federal/AASSHTO/ITE/general guidelines?
