Hello guys,

Can we use API 6D as a testing standard for this type of valve? What are the allowable leakage rates?

Please give your kind comments.

The leakage rate would only apply based upon the prefered pressure end.  From web search information, design standards applied to orbit valves may include API 608,API 6D,ASME B16.34,ASME B16.10, API 6D,ASME B16.5, ASME B16.47,DIN2543-2550 Test Standard: ,API 6D, API598,BS 6755,ISO5208,MSS SP-82,MSS SP-61 Fire safe: API607-API6 Fa.
Verify that the valves are specified by Orbit to comply with API 598 and use that method for testing.

It is a class 150 valve.
