Seabed Soil Stiffness in Elastic Region

Seabed Soil Stiffness in Elastic Region

Seabed Soil Stiffness in Elastic Region

(OP)
Ref. DNV-RP-F109 (Oct 2007) Sec. 3.4.6 (soil resistance), in the elastic region the lateral seabed stiffness is taken 50-100 N/m for sand which sounds very small, shall not it be read 50-100 KN/m? (i.e. typo in unit of stiffness)

RE: Seabed Soil Stiffness in Elastic Region

No, Actually it is just in elastic region. the real resistance comprises of this element plus much more passive resistance due to pipe penetration in soil.
