Subtracting geometry between models

Subtracting geometry between models

Subtracting geometry between models

(OP)
SW2007 I have two separate sldprt models. If I have model 1 open, how do I combine model 2's geometry for the purpose of subtracting material from the first model. I would like to end up with a plate which has multiple pockets in different peripheral shapes. I previously created the pocket shapes in separate models. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

RE: Subtracting geometry between models

Insert->Part

Insert->Features->Combine

Or:

Make an assembly and insert a cavity feature.

-handleman, CSWP (The new, easy test)
