Pricing Informaiton for Geothermal Well Tests?
Pricing Informaiton for Geothermal Well Tests?
(OP)
.
Does anyone have pricing information for geothermal well tests in the southeast coastal plain of North Carolina, South Carolina, and/or Georgia? I'm getting widely different numbers from different sources. This is for a single 400ft well test to determine thermal conductivity, thermal diffusivity, mean temperature, and water level.
Thanks!

You should get a split price one for the drilling, pipe installation, and clean up. Then a seperate pricr for the test. All the items you listed above are part of the same test. Did you specify the lenght of time that the test was to be run?
I work in the midwest and drilling prices here run between $13-$18 dollars per foot. The agerage cost of a thermal response test is around $5,000.

The most 'reasonable' numbers I've received (in terms of my trust in them), is from $4k to $9k, with $5k being around the most typical. The area is sand generally to 300ft-600ft, rock thereafter - 48hr test.
