Loading and design requirements

(OP)
We have been asked to do some engineering on a building that requires a roof top helicopter landing pad.  I don't really have any idea what code this would fall under... or what loading criteria would be used.  I assume we would still be using the standard AISC and ACI documents.  Does anyone have any idea what the requirements are for such a structure?  More specifically the loading requirements for such a structure.

RE: Loading and design requirements

IBC 2006 Section 1605.5 covers load combinations to consider for heliports.

RE: Loading and design requirements

Search online for FAA Advisory Circular 150/5390-2B.  It gives some structural guidance along with civil, architectural, navigation, etc.
