Is there a way of getting a hard copy of the customer defaults that are set in NX?
I want to change some things, so I would like to mark up a hard copy and give it to the person who can change them.

RE: NX6 customer defaults

Yes, if you go to File --> Utilities --> Customer Defaults ... you should see an icon with an eye on it (top right corner) then on the right hand side is an excell icon, it copies the customer defaults to an excell sheet,  could take a long time.

Remeber that the customer defaults have Default Levels, you can adapt them in the first screen.

Hope it helped.

Best regards,

Michäël.

Thanks Micky,

The spreadsheet has 11,086 lines.
I never imagined that there are so many settings in there.

Does anybody know if there is someplace in the customer defaults where I set the load options? It must be in there someplace, but I can't find it.

RE: NX6 customer defaults

Load Option have their own file and their own variable.

In the...

File -> Options -> Assembly Load Options...

...dialog at the very bottom you can save your changes either to a file which you can later use instead of the default, or you can make your changes the new default.

As for the variable, you can set...

UGII_LOAD_OPTIONS=...

...to whatever load option file (.def) that you wish to use (this file, by definition, is then the 'default').

RE: NX6 customer defaults

Hi,

A tip on this post : if you want to generalize a config of "customer defaults" on other computer.

For NX4

Copy : "nx4_user.dpv" that is situated on "C:\Documents and Settings\your_computer_name\Local Settings\Application Data\Unigraphics Solutions\NX4"

Paste it on the other computers winky smile)
