Maximum use temperature four Bolting material
Maximum use temperature four Bolting material
(OP)
Good morning to everyone I'm asking you the following question:
Is possible to use a bolting above the max use Temperature defined in Table 3 ?
The limit of temperature in VIII-Div.2, for all bolting material, does not exceed 800 °F.
I want to know how to design a vessel in Div.2 above 800 °F using, for example, SA 193 B16 material for bolted connections.
Thank you and regards

RE: Maximum use temperature four Bolting material
"For fluid temperatures above 65C, the metal design temperature of uninsulated pipe and components shall be taken as 95% of the fluid temperature, except flanges, lap joint flanges and bolting shall be 90%, 85% and 80% of the fluid temperature, respectively."
