RE: Compliance plate

Hi engsatapex

You might get a response when you let members know what sort of elec equipment your talking about, as my cyrstal ball is in for service at the moment.

RE: Compliance plate

As the fox implied, that info is defined in the standards that you designed your product to meet.  Thus there are a lot of variations - consumer equipment, industrial, hazardous locations, UL, CE...

RE: Compliance plate

The Canadian Electrical Code specifies this for some equipment. I expect that the NEC may also specify the information to be included.
Basic is Voltage and Amperage. Most applications require frequency also. From there check your code for specific information.
Examples;
RPM is required for most motors but not for transformers.
%imp V is required for many transformers but not for motors.
