slurry throttling valve

slurry throttling valve

slurry throttling valve

(OP)
WHich valve is best suitable for slurry application where requires throttling also with pressure rating upto 8 kg/cm2

RE: slurry throttling valve

A slurry throttling valve - contact Weir / Warman or GIW to see what they have available

RE: slurry throttling valve

Type "slurry throttling valve" into google - I just did and got 66,900 hits.

RE: slurry throttling valve

Successful slurry throttling is an art.  Which valve will be successful depends greatly on slurry properties (solid size, hardness, % solids and other properties), differential pressure, flow etc.

Erosion and plugging concerns are one thing.  Erosion-corrosion is another.  If your slurry is corrosive, or flashing, or both, that adds two more dimensions to an already multi-dimensional problem.

RE: slurry throttling valve

Try Red Valve. They custom make pinch valves.

You have not mentioned the slurry characteristics. Dense fly ash slurries have been successfully throttled with hard faced ball valves.

RE: slurry throttling valve

(OP)
ph = 1.5, density = 1.8, copper sulphate leached slurry

RE: slurry throttling valve

Vee-Balls work in polymer slurry.  The low pressure is not a problem.
