ASCE/SEI 41-06, Need Seismic Base shear example calc

(OP)
Hi there,

I am working on an existing building and trying to determine base shear due to seismic loads using the ASCE/SEI 41-06, 'Seismic Rehabilitation of Existing Buildings'. The building components: walls, slabs etc are cast in place concrete.

Do any of you know of any design examples for this code that could help step me through this process?

I am finding this particular code to be very hard to use and want to make sure I am stepping through it correctly.

Any help or advice would be appreciated.

Thanks!
