Difference between ISO9002 and UL related electrical wires

Difference between ISO9002 and UL related electrical wires

(OP)
The question is about the difference between UL certification and ISO9002 for electrical wires 12AWG and 14AWG.

RE: Difference between ISO9002 and UL related electrical wires

ISO 9002 is a quality system and dosen't have anything to do with UL certification of conductors that I know of. Can you give some more detail in your question.

I agree with Chris.

RE: Difference between ISO9002 and UL related electrical wires

ISO9002 certification just means that the manufacturer can tell you exactly how well (or badly! quality doesn't mean good in this instance) he made it and how consistently he can do it.

UL is more to do with suitability for use in from a safety etc point of view, but says nothing about how the cable was made.
