Youngs Modulus in Static Analysis
Youngs Modulus in Static Analysis
(OP)
Dear all,
I am doing static Analysis of combustion chamber with Temperature as my loading. I considered one special steel as the material. Now, I am in confusion which pysical properties (like Youngs module, Density, Thermal Exp. coeff etc) should I use for the analysis. i.e Properties of the operating temperature or Room temperature properties.
Looking forward for your suggestions!
Thanks a lot!

Is it required to evaluate @ room temperature? Only you can answer that. Is there anything about what goes on at room temperature that requires evaluation?

So, I explain in detial to understand my model Completely:
Firstly, I have inner and outer temperatures of my combustion chamber. As well as convection heat transfer coefficients. With this information I have done a Thermal Analysis to find out the temperature distribution overall on the component.
Secondly, I took this teperature distribution as my loading and Material properties(of the room temperature) in Linear Static Analysis.
So, my question is in the Linear Static Analysis should I consider the material properties of the room temperature or the properties of the temperature distribution.
Thanks a lot for your effors and response. Please also suggest me is it required to do a non-Linear Analysis too.
