(OP)
Hello All,

First time post looking for some help. I need to build attached shapes. Lofting from a square base to a circular area doesn't do quite the right trick, I am looking for a parabolic curve instead of just a straight loft from base to base. Ideas?

RE: simple shape design, help

1. Rectangular block.
2. Revolved cut with parabola shape.

RE: simple shape design, help

I would loft the following sections
1. Bottom rectangle
2. smaller rectangle
3. Circle
4. Point

Finish it with a fillet.

To add to BluTurtle.

Use parabolic guidecurves on the loft.  I hope this helps.

Do it in quarters.

... and if that doesn't work, try nickels or dimes.
