What is the difference between these versions?

What is the difference between these versions?

What is the difference between these versions?

(OP)
6.9-1
6.9-3
6.9EF

the -1 is the first version of 6.9 obviously, but what is the -2 and -3? service packs? and the EF version is a new product - improved baseline (but still not enough of new stuff to label it as 7.0-1)?

RE: What is the difference between these versions?

(OP)
or is the -2 version actually EF? and -3 version is EF2 in that context?

RE: What is the difference between these versions?

I think 6.9-1 is the first release of version 6.9, and 6.9-x, x=2,3,4... are sort of maitenance/minor releases.

EF in 6.9-EF, I think stands for "enhanced functionality". An EF release used to be an intermediate release between 2 major releases. I suspect EF2 is maitenance for EF.

RE: What is the difference between these versions?

(OP)
can 6.9-1 open a cae file of the -3 version?

RE: What is the difference between these versions?

If 6.9-1 can't open -3 then you there might be a save down option in -3 so you can open in -1.

RE: What is the difference between these versions?

6.9-3 files can be opened in 6.9-1.
